Hypertext 2003 Arrangements


If you are planning to go to Hypertext 2003 and haven't yet made your travel plans: The deadline for early-bird registration has been extended by a week, to August 11. Visit http://www.ht03.org for on-line registration but be aware of the outrageous price for accommodation.

Jim Rosenberg writes: "I was profoundly shocked by how much the conference wants for on-campus accommodations. The rate for a *dorm room* is 90 GBP per night! (I confirmed that this is the real rate and is not a mistake.) As of a few days ago this amounts to US $148 or so per night. Folks, this amount of money for a dorm room is outrageous. And the hotels listed on the ht03.org web site are no great bargain either."
