ELO on the first reading of the series "HYPERTEXT: EXPLORATIONS IN ELECTRONIC LITERATURE"

The first reading of "HYPERTEXT: EXPLORATIONS IN ELECTRONIC LITERATURE" took place in the UCLA Hammer Museum. Performers: CHRISTIAN BöK (Toronto) and ERIK LOYER (LA).

On Friday, October 17, we had our first reading in the yearlong series "HYPERTEXT: EXPLORATIONS IN ELECTRONIC LITERATUREe" which is a joint collaboration between ELO and the UCLA Hammer Museum. Information on the series is on the ELO site at
http://www.eliterature.org/elo/content/programs/hypertext.php .

The first reading was an overwhelming success! Avant-garde sound poet CHRISTIAN BöK (Toronto) and digital-media artist ERIK LOYER (LA) performed for an audience of over 80 people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and interests. The reading made front-page news in the UCLA Daily Bruin today. Visit the ELO homepage to link to the article: www.eliterature.org

Our next reading is NOVEMBER 19. Our own M.D. COVERLEY will be reading along with JODY ZELLAN, both from Southern California. If you are in the area, I join us.

The series continues in 2004; check the ELO site for updated information:
